The Iris Garden

There is a park about ten minutes’ walk from our apartment. It has a Japanese name, but I call it the Iris Garden Park.
At the entrance, there is a water lily pond and a bridge.

Beyond that are walking paths and a playground and picnic areas and millions of irises of every kind and color.

We saw some men tagging some of the flowers, but don’t know what that was about.

A week ago, I came to the park for a picnic lunch with a friend and some irises were in bloom.  A week later, there are millions in bloom.

There are still a lot of buds waiting to open so there will be many more flowers to come.

We are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place!
