The Blackwork Stitch A Long - Part One

Kim at Wisdom With Needle & Thread posted about her local guild’s blackwork study group and showed a photo of what she was working on.  She also posted a link for the free project – Box of Delights.  I followed the link and liked what I saw.  Kim suggested a stitch a long, and here I am with another new project!  I plan to use materials I have on hand, so I have pulled out this beautiful Zweigart Lugana (25 count) fabric (color is called Wedgewood) that I have been saving for a rainy day.  I have quite a collection of silk threads – some left over from other projects and some I purchased because of the colors without any project in mind. So far I’m thinking of doing the border in black and the “fillings” in color.

The charts for this project allow for all different sizes and number of fillings, so you can do one filling or all 36 or something in between.  If you’d like to join us, leave me a comment and link to your Box of Delights post.

Check it out for yourself:
