Work In Progress Wednesday

This week I've been working on this small beehive fob that I started while on vacation in December.

I've made several of these over the years.  Here is the first one I made when I belonged to the Indianapolis chaper of EGA about 20 years ago.

WOW - so many stitches - but so beautiful. And it really looks like what I think a beehive should look like.

This is a beautiful scissor fob.

How adorable! What stitch do you use to sew the sides together? (I'm clueless...)

It's hard to see in the picture, but the beehive has one row of cross stitches all the way around. The fabric gets folded back at the cross stitches and the cross stitches on the front to the back are joined, using a whip stitch. It's really easy and looks good when finished.
