Imperial Visit to Kumamoto

I am fascinated with the Japanese Imperial Family, especially the Emperor and Emperess, who are in their 80's.  On Thursday, they visited the area of the recent earthquake disaster in Kumamoto.  I'm sure the people affected by the disaster appreciated the visit and concern.

It is comforting to know people care when there is suffering.Very considerate of them to take time and show concern.

It is especially impressive when you see them getting down on their knees to talk to the people in the shelters. I hope I can have such a humble mind and flexible knees when I'm in my 80s.

I don't know much about the politics of Japan and their hierarchy. But the visit is a caring and gracious gesture. I am so sure the people in this area of disaster appreciated their concern.
