New Sapporo LDS Temple

I would guess most people in the United States have had Mormon Missionaries come to their door, although Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints may be the more correct term.  When I first moved to Japan, we had two missionaries come to our door in Hokkaido and I wrote about it at the end of this post

I was surprised to learn that a new Temple is opening in Sapporo. I supposed I shouldn't have been because Sapporo is the largest city in Hokkaido and maybe the fifth largest in Japan.  You can get free tickets to tour the Temple before it is officially opened at this website.  The public open house is from July 8th - the 23rd.  This is the third Temple in Japan (the other two being in Tokyo and Fukuoka) and the eighth in Asia.  If I were still in Hokkaido, I would definitely attend the open house.  If anyone reading this does attend, please tell me about it!
