Work in Progress Wednesday - The Big Pear Finish

The last of the 12 pears is the biggest.  I have enjoyed stitching these pears.

Now that I am finished stitching all of the pears, I need to finish finish them into the pear shapes. This is one of my 17 in 2017 projects. The free patterns are available at Samplers and Santas.

This week I also worked on the scrappy cat quilt.  I pieced the batting and pin basted the three layers together.  I need to buy a walking foot for my Janome PJ-100 sewing machine.  I purchased the machine in Japan, so I should be able to purchase the walking foot.  As soon as I do, I will try quilting in the ditch.

I like these little stitcheries. I always admire cross stitch. I haven't done it in years. I used to use waste canvas and stitched on EVERYTHING.

You have a lovely collection of pears. For some reason the ones with text are extra attractive. I think cross stitch and lettering go so well together.

That's a beautiful set, congratulations.
And more done on your 'scrappy cat' quilt, good progress.
I'm inspired.
