Work in Progress Wednesday - Scrappy Cats

This week I pulled out the scrappy cats quilt top that I pieced together when I lived in Hokkaido. I've decided it is big enough and I won't be adding any more to it.

I pieced some cat fabric from my stash for the back and purchased some batting (that still needs to be pieced).  I'll find something from my stash to use as binding, probably another cat fabric!

I'm thinking about trying to machine quilt it "in the ditch", but not feeling real confident about that.   This is one of my 17 in 2017, so I'd like to finish it this year.

Very cute - gotta love a cat quilt!! Do you have a walking foot? That would be fast for the SITD. But ya gotta stitch in some paw prints too!!

If you have a walking foot for the sewing machine, stitch in the ditch is easy, as well as fast.
It's a lovely quilt top and charming back.

This will be a wonderful quilt, Pamela. And there is no doubt that you will finish it before the end of the year. I'm looking forward to seeing how your quilting goes.

Do you have a walking foot for your machine Pamela? if not can you get one in Japan for you machine?????? If you use walking foot your challenge will be made so much easier. If you can not get one in Japan let me know and I will see if I can get one here for you. Cheers Glenda
