Holiday Stitching

Thursday was a national holiday in Japan, Labor Day. I met with three members of the stitch group that day to work on kogin projects.  I think they really like kogin!  They like the bag I made with my little kogin panel and think it would be good for a travel lingerie bag.

Look for some finished lingerie bags next time!

Here's another finished crazy quilt bag.

The Japanese snacks look amazing. Was the thing with eyes nice? I presume it is hazelnut flavoured from the packaging?

Splendid :D They're always doing such a good job...
kogin is so beautiful, I guess you need a special fabric to do the embroidery ??

In stitches,

It is such a good idea to make a small kogin panel and then add kimono silk around it for making a larger bag.
You have had a good Labour holiday!

Cute little snacks, they look like toys.
I like the design on the brown wrapper.
And great embroidery/hand work, thanks for sharing Pamela.

Lingerie bags would be very useful. Thanks for the reminder.

These kogin patterns are so beautiful, and you can play around with variegated threads if your want to. Neat idea to make these lingerie bags.
