Sueyoshi Park, Naha

This is a fantastic park near the Shiritsubyoin-Mae Yuirail station. Some of the trails are a bit steep, but there's no hurry to get anywhere, so you can take your time on the meandering trails.

Going to the Shrine on one of the first three days of January is a must in Japan, and lucky for us, there is a shrine here.

We bought sandwiches at Subway and apples and drinks at the grocery so we could have a picnic.  We were very surprised to see a mongoose near our lunch spot.  I love seeing "real live nature"!

This is a great place to spend an afternoon!

I love seeing all your photos of Japan. I also enjoyed seeing the progression of your cross stitch calendar. I thought of you when I saw this link: stitch along - joyful world by the snowflower diaries in facebook. It is also a calendar of great charm.
