2018 Cherry Blossom Map

The Japan Weather Association has released its initial Cherry Blossom map for Japan.  (I think this is subject to change as we get closer to the date.)

It looks like the trees in my area will begin to bloom the week of March 25th. Get ready for all the sakura flavor treats that will begin to be sold any day now!

Our weather bureau is falling down on the job. We have to rely on watching the trees to know when the spring blossom will happen.

The cherry blossoms bloom for such a short time, but the season will be celebrated for a much extended period with displays and all sorts of flavored things to eat and drink.

How interesting, a cherry blossom map. I love cherry blossoms, they are so beautiful. We have one cherry tree in our garden - not what you are used to with the many cherry trees blooming at the same time in one region.

How interesting! We might come to Japan to see the Cherry Blossom in 2019. If only things would calm down enough for us to make plans...
