I made
these three ornaments as gifts. You may
recognize the cloud filling stitch (TAST #78).I stitched on 28 count black fabric with gold accentuate, adding gold
beads in the middle of each cloud. The
back of the ornament is black damask fabric.I made cording with four strands of black perle cotton #8 and one strand
of DMC gold.
It's a twisted cording. I had two strands of black folded in half on one side and two strands of black and one gold folded in half on the other. I attach one end to the wall and use a pencil to twist the other end. I only used gold on one side so it would give a sparkle without a full line of gold.
Lovely ornaments, and a great use for the Cloud Filling Stitch. How did you make the braids?
