Stitch Group Sunday - Starting the Japanese Hangings
Another fun afternoon with my stitching friends! First some show and tell from the last project - drawn thread and chicken scratch. I had already started my Japanese Hanging, but the rest of the group was starting on Sunday.
Here is what they did during our get together. We are using kimono and obi cuts for these hangings. We will meet again next month to continue.
Tea and sweets Until we meet again...
No matter how many times I see it, I think the gingham check project is amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that the hanging scroll project has also started.
Isn't it difficult to handle the Obi because it is thick?
I think these are going to be just beautiful. And I love the gingham!
ReplyDeleteGingham projects are amazing. Love the fabric for the wall hangings, so you have a pattern or just creating?
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing what your stitching friends are making. It is so good to have a regular group of friends like this to get together with.
ReplyDeleteIn the black and white gingham project, there is fabric added behind the drawn part, isn't there?
ReplyDeleteIf you work hard enough everyone can display a hanging for New Year!
The sweet in the white and blue wrapping is from Hokkaido, if I'm not mistaken!
You ladies picked out some gorgeous fabrics for your wall hangings.
