Work in Progress Wednesday - the Big Garden Progress

I finished the small garden last week.  Here is my progress on the RSN garden.  It is very large, so to work on it, I balance it between the ironing board and the folding chair.

I’m linking up with SharonB’s WIPW on her Pintangle Blog.  Feel free to join in and to check out the progress on everyone else’s projects.

  2. Wow! That is a large area to stretch into to reach the garden. It is so beautiful with all the various patterns. Well done! What is next on the agenda? How will you mount it?

  3. Goodness! this is going to be just stunning when finished...you must have lots of patience to work on something like this...do you draw it out or are you following a pattern from sight.

    1. I drew the first circle for the pond and the circle and square for the original walkway, but have been winging it since then. There's no pattern, I just use the stitches and threads I like.

    1. Elizabeth,
A great resource for this kind of project is the book Embroidered Knot Gardens by Owen Davies, who teaches the class at the Royal School of Needlework.
