Our
hotel was next to the waterway, across the street from the EGG and MOO
buildings.
The
Kushiro Art Museum was just a few blocks away.
When we visited, there was a photo exhibit and a doll exhibit. Unfortunately,
photos taking wasn't allowed in the museum. We met the doll artist and I bought a
couple of post cards of the dolls.
We ate
dinner at a “grill your own food at the table” place one night. We had two grills at our table so Ted could
cook meat on one and fresh seafood on the other. I don’t know about the rest of
Japan, but these restaurants are very popular in Hokkaido.
I’ll
tell you about the rest of the trip another day.
Aah I remember those grills. You have made my mouth water! Kushiro has certainly developed a lot since I was there in 1982.
ReplyDeleteA trip full of sightseeing and adventure. The dolls are lovely. Grill you own food restaurants can be found anywhere in Japan but I think they are more common in Hokkaido - after all you have all that lovely sea food...
ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to tell you what a pleasure it is to read of your adventures, your work, your whole experience.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your trip. The food looks excellent! Your queen looks lovely. I went very slow doing the beads on my heart. I think I took them out at least three times.
