Ted
bought this game at the second hand store.
The box top looks like 2-6 players can play, but we don’t know the
rules. No directions came with it. Maybe it’s something like Scrabble. It has lots of wooden blocks with the
hiragana characters on one side and a picture of something starting with that
character on the other. It also has some
blocks with a shape on one side and yes, no, or thank you on the other.
Does
anyone know how to play or where I can find out? Arigato
gozaimasu!
Ohhhh curious! A 3D version of Mah-Jong maybe???
ReplyDeleteMah-Jong maybe?
ReplyDeleteI know the game of the computer.
Greetings, Manuela
The pieces themselves, the whole box even, are colorful and look like they'd be fun to handle and play with.
ReplyDeleteI think it is an 'A for apple, B for book' kind of memory play, but using hiragana and the Japanese names of things. Please note that melon usually is spelled in katakana as it is a loan word. The reason it is spelled in hiragana here is probably evidence that this is an educational game for very young children.
