Have you heard of the citrus fruit, haruka? Until recently, I hadn't either! It's yellow, like a lemon, but sweet. One of the places Haruka are grown is here on the island of Shikoku, in the nearby prefecture of Ehime. When I was out and about yesterday I was offered a sample of the fruit and I liked it so much I bought a little bag of them.
I've never had. I want to try one. One net shoppoing site says it is a new fruit by breeding improvement. It costs 2100yen per 2kg. I wonder I try to buy...
Beautiful citrus, they look a lot like lemons, but they're sweet?
ReplyDeleteYou must get to try so many new foods Pamela. Is haruka like lemonade in a peel?
