The cherry trees are in bloom elsewhere in Japan, but they are late here in our area of Shizuoka. They are just beginning to bloom. In the meantime, I am drinking sakura tea.
and here in Tokyo we are beginning to sweep up fallen petals. The rain has spoiled much of the sakura season this year. I hope you get lots of SUNSHINE in Shizuoka!
I know the Japanese love their sakura flavour...I haven't quite figures it out yet. The stuff I had so far just tasted sweet and mildly flowery...is the tea any good?
That looks lovely...Does it taste like cherry blossoms?

ReplyDeleteIs it flavoured black tea Pamela? I saw on the news the cherry blossoms were late flowering.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela what a lovely sight to see the trees flowering, the tea sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful packaging. I think that would be a treat to see in my cupboard and I imagine a brewed cup would warm me up!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering how the tea tastes. I have never acquired a love of tea, except iced tea. I love raspberry tea.
