Fishing in Guam

I didn't fish, but I did walk by a fishing area when I was out walking and took some photos because I thought it was interesting. When the first people arrived on the island 4,000 years ago, there were no mammals to hunt but there were an abundance of fish.

The Chamorros have fished from their sailing canoes in the open ocean for mahimahi, marlin, sailfish, swordfish, and tuna.

  6. How interesting! Is anyone else reminded of Moana by that picture of the sailing canoe?
