I was very happy to be able to attend the Tokyo International Quilt Festival again this year. Three of my Stitch Group friends and I got on the highway bus for Tokyo before 7 am, arriving at Tokyo Station at 9:40 am, then taking the short trip on the metro to the Tokyo Dome, the quilt festival venue. We met up with Queenie of Queenie's Needlework at the Dome.
The first thing we wanted to do was see our NHK Partnership Quilt blocks. The theme for blocks this year was "House".

In the afternoon, we took a cake and coffee break and met a new friend, who owns a quilt shop in Germany. We were happy to have her join us.
Quilters are a friendly bunch. We met some of them and admired their quilting and stitching throughout the day.
I made a few purchases.
I took many pictures of the quilts and am working on sorting them and will be posting about them soon.
It was a great day and we are already looking forward to next year!
What a fabulous time! I love your group quilt -- it has such a warm, happy feeling to it and I especially like your block. You had to be in seventh heaven with this one -- I would be and I don't even quilt!
It’s great to see all your photos Pamela! I’m so glad you shared them with us. It’s amazing to see all the wonderful stitching. Loved all the house blocks! Barbara x

Awesome quilts! I love the block with the three little piggies. Were your friends sick, or trying not to catch anything? I hope they are well!
