The Camino, Part 9 - Baionia

After leaving the giant fish man behind, I continued on into the town of Baionia, where I bought lunch (fruit, bread, and hummus) in a supermarket and ate in the park. I didn't buy any sushi.

There was a Spanish Fort that I had to investigate. You can walk all around inside and there are some beautiful views.

This gasoline price was in euros and liters.  I don't know how that compares with yen and liters or USD and gallons.

  3. The petrol prices look about 30% higher than here in Australia. Glad I am not paying that much at the moment.

  5. That castle looks like a great place to visit, a Parador too. Sushi has become very popular over the last few years here and in Spain. Our local supermarket has a fresh sushi bar. Repsol are one of the more expensive petrol stations in Spain and their price is similar to ours - jolly expensive at the moment which was the reason the 'Gilet Jaune' demonstrations started in France last year. xx

  6. You added a Spanish castle to your collection of Japanese ones! They are quite different, aren't they?
Interesting to see how sushi has spread around to world - a healthy choice of fast food, but you need to make sure it is fresh.

  7. You can buy sushi in supermarkets here as well. It's usually okay, but not that good either!

  8. That fort was fascinating and very interesting. I wonder if those pokey things along the edge were to keep bad people out in the long-ago-and-far-away? How fun to be able to go, take your time and no one rushes you. And lunch in the park sounds great!
