At Itami airport in Osaka, traveling dogs have their own toilet area. The dog toilet area is in a fenced area outside the terminal and has water bowls and a shower area. In addition, the “pee pole” flushes. This is the first canine rest room facility at a Japanese airport.
The next thing they need is a powder room to redo the poodle's ribbon bows and a dressingroom to change the clothes... Pets mean SO much to some people in Japan.
Leave it to Japan to think of everything. No I have never heard of them. I'm pretty sure my mutts would not use the pole but that FENCE would be their first stop. xx, Carol
I have never seen on of these before, it is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteFirst time i have heard of one of these. A good idea.
ReplyDeleteClever! If dogs use it, great.

ReplyDeleteWow. I haven't seen a dog toilet in this country.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend and take good care against the coronavirus infection.

I don't think they even allow dogs AT the airport (unless they are traveling!)
ReplyDeleteA flushing pee-pole sounds awesome! Japan even has fancy toilets for dogs.
