Every city has their own escalator conventions. When I worked in Melbourne people stood still on the left-hand side, and climbed the escalator on the right. People who stood still on the right-hand side would build up frustrated climbers behind them!

ReplyDeleteI never understood the point of walking on an escalator. Doesn't seem safe to me. That's a great sign!
