Work In Progress Wednesday - New Projects and Yesterday's Mt. Fuji
Here is yesterday's Mt. Fuji view from my apartment. Monday we had a lot of rain here, which means a lot of snow for Fuji san.
I have two new starts. The first is called Strawberry Thief and the kit was a gift from the stitch group for my birthday in December. It is a very nice kit with the thread sorted and includes a hoop for displaying the piece when finished.
The second is a pattern from the February 2007 issue of Just Cross Stitch. I'm using threads leftover from something else, not the called for colors.
It's Cross Stitch Wednesday! The Strawberry Thief is a very famous William Morris pattern so no wonder Victoria and Albert Museum made a cross stitch kit out of the design. As a repeat pattern in e.g. cretonne curtains it can be very busy. Here it is focusing on the lovely main motif. A nice gift!
Love the heart and cannot wait to see the Strawberry Thief come into focus!
ReplyDeleteTwo charming new projects! Happy stitching.
