The Stitch Group met on Sunday, and as always, I was happy to get together with them! First we had some show and tell.
Then we started a new project - the mola. (I've been working on mine for a few weeks.) They had to come up with the design idea and choose the fabric colors before getting started.
We didn't have time to do all the basting, but enough was done to get a little start on the reverse applique. I don't know what happened to the colors in these next pictures. The blue looks black.
Pamela: How lovely you can meet with your stitch group now, it has been a long year. Such sweet designs for the mola's So many lovely things to see. Lunch looks yummy.
The members of your group are so creative. I have always enjoyed looking at band samplers. Here one is full of ribbons on which the stitches are worked - unique. What will the eyelet parts become? I patient comes regularly with small gifts of brooches for me, similar to the three here. It is such a good way of showing off ones embroidery skill. So they took to Mola like ducks to water. I will be looking forward to what colours their cow, elephant and turtoise will take. And what is that square Mola?!? The rusk cookie, Gouter e Roi is very delicious. There is a winter version, covered in chocolate, that is SO good.

It's nice to see your group of stitching friends. Fabric buttons are cute and so the samplers.
ReplyDeleteLovely projects, I like the first bandsampler with all the ribbons!
