This shrine wasn't originally on my list of things to see, but as I was leaving the Castle/Palace area, the bright red called for me to see it closer, so I walked over. It is a well maintained shinto shrine in the middle of a large park area. There is something very nice to be in a calm, quiet place during such turbulent times.
Definitely worth taking a little side detour to visit!
ReplyDeletePamela: This place looks very peaceful and calming.

It's a beautiful shrine, and quite unusual with its red colour. It was a lucky chance!
ReplyDeleteThis shrine is maintained very well. The torii (stone gate) design is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThat would have called me, too. It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't pass a bright red building without taking a look, either!
