The Japan Meteorological Corporation has released its initial Fall Foliage Forecast for both the yellow ginko leaves and the red momiji leaves (maple leaves).
It will be mid to late November for the peak ginko season where I live in Shizuoka.
It looks like the maple leaves peak will be slightly later than the ginko leaves where I live.
Here in Tokyo, it will be similar to your timing. In Stockholm, my former home, I think the leaves have already turned colour and many have begun to fall off.
That will be so beautiful.

ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that they issue forecasts for this in Japan.
ReplyDeleteThe leaves are already starting to turn around here, so I think maybe another three weeks or so and it'll be really pretty out!
