As much as many people act like Covid 19 is over, in my opinion, it is not. This two week holiday trip was my first airplane trip in three years. I want to travel, but I also want to be safe. This vacation was great for outdoor, no-crowd adventures.
Hiji Falls in Yambaru National Park was the perfect place to hike, away from the touristy crowds. The hike takes about 40 minutes each way on a well kept trail, with some steep up and down steps. The end of the trail is Hiji Falls, the tallest waterfalls on the main island of Okinawa at 26 meters.
Looking down from the suspension bridge at about the half way point.
There was a lot of up and down, but it was well worth it when reaching the falls.
You certainly managed to keep the social distancing that is still recommended. It is a beautiful spot but looks a bit cold. We had bright sunshine in Tokyo, though the temperature was low too.
I, too, am still trying to avoid crowds whenever possible. It has gotten better, but it's not over! That is a fabulous place to spend Christmas Eve, at any rate.
What a beautiful walk through the forest!

ReplyDeleteRediscover the beauty of green.
It's a very well maintained trail.
Hiji Falls seems to be full of negative ion.
