Sometimes you meet interesting people on a trip. Hentona Teppei is a boat maker and guide and a chance meeting. He makes these wooden boats by hand, using wooden bowtie-like joints. In the warmer weather, he leads sailboat and snorkeling tours. His English is good and he is interesting to talk with. Check him out - photos of his business cards below.

Beautiful craftsmanship. Are the boats used for fishing? In open sea? They look like the boats used on rivers in many parts of Japan, don't they?
