There were a few small places that didn’t merit their own posts, but I still wanted to show them.
Mitake Shrine - Omikuji means sacred lot and are little papers with fortunes on them. I think there are nine levels, with Daikichi being the highest. If you get a bad luck paper, you can fold it and tie it to a tree or string.
This was on the sidewalk. This sign is about the onsens in Yugawara, what is in the water and what those things cure.
This was on the side of the road. The translation of the sign says it is a road god and is said to represent the wish for prosperity for descendants and for finding a marriage partner.
Shinto Shrine, located at 339 Miyakami, Yugawara, Ashigarashimo District. I don’t know anything about it, not even the name.

This shows how close houses can be in Japan. I can’t tell if the house on the right was damaged by the fire.
Yugawara was a great day trip by train. I did a lot of walking, and found many interesting things.
