Three Black and Gold Ornaments
I made
these three ornaments as gifts. You may
recognize the cloud filling stitch (TAST #78).
I stitched on 28 count black fabric with gold accentuate, adding gold
beads in the middle of each cloud. The
back of the ornament is black damask fabric.
I made cording with four strands of black perle cotton #8 and one strand
of DMC gold.

Lovely ornaments, and a great use for the Cloud Filling Stitch. How did you make the braids?
It's a twisted cording. I had two strands of black folded in half on one side and two strands of black and one gold folded in half on the other. I attach one end to the wall and use a pencil to twist the other end. I only used gold on one side so it would give a sparkle without a full line of gold.
Lovely ornaments.
Greetings, Manuela
