Work In Progress Wednesday - Still Not a Full Rose

I've worked a bit more on this.  Now that I have to work every day, I'm getting very little stitching done!

Ritsurin Garden Park

Ritsurin Garden in Takamatsu is the most beautiful park I've seen in Japan or anywhere in the world.  It is one of the most famous historical gardens in Japan and the top sight seeing location in Takamatsu.  In 1953, it was designated as a Special Place of Scenic Beauty.  The admission is only 410 yen.  

After entering the park, I was approached by a volunteer guide who offered to give me a tour free of charge.  I accepted!  He was a wealth of knowlege and he enjoyed practicing his English with me. There must not have been very many foreigners in the Gardens that day, because soon I had a second volunteer guide, also practicing his English.  If you are in Kagawa, you won't want to miss this place.  I plan to go back when there are more flowers in bloom.  It is a fabulous place!

Monday Morning Star Count - A New Project

I found my little epp box and it had some "orphan" hexagons in it.  I decided to use them to make a little bag.  Here is my tentative layout.  I plan to have some of these stitched together by next Monday.

Sanuki Folk Craft Museum

The Folk Craft Museum is located inside Ritsurin Garden Park and is made up of the New Folk Craft Museum, the Furniture Museum, the Roof Tile Museum, and the Old Folk Craft Museum.  There are about 1,000 items on display.  It's about a 20 minute walk from Takamatsu Station and is included in the entrance fee to Ritsurin Garden.  I was excited to see all the different local crafts on display. I'm pretty sure I'll visit here again.
