Asahigaoka Park, Furano

A wonderful place to visit is Asahigaoka Park.  The map claims it was selected as one of the 100 most beautiful scenic places in Japan and I can see why. There are 3000 sakura trees and I think they were all in bloom while we were there.

At one end is a children’s play area and a park golf course.

In one area, there was the shape of Hokkaido laid out in stones – Ted is the belly button.

We walked the trail around the park, then drove to the top of the hill for some views of the city and the mountains.

If you go to Furano, be sure to visit this park!
