US, you expect to get a refill on your coffee.Here in Japan, a cup of coffee is expensive and you don’t get a second
cup, unless you go to Mr. Donut.The
coffee is good, the cup a good size, and you get a refill.If that’s not enough, you can also get a
donut for 100 yen. There are lots of choices, but Ted always gets a chocolate
donut and I like an airy sugar donut.
The cost of a second cup of coffee in Japan is sometimes half of the first one, but usually you will have to pay for a new cup. You then also get a NEW cup, and the empty one is taken away. FAR from the customs of Sweden, where coffee is drunk as 'gasoline for humans' and refills are obvious!
