Hokkaido
is known for fresh fish and I’ve eaten my share since moving here.My friend gave me this fish that her husband
caught. She told me to pan fry it.
I’m not
any kind of cook, but I did pan fry it in a little olive oil and some garlic.
I’m
pleased with how it turned out and it tasted even better than it looks.
Oh Gosh, I used to live in Michigan City, a small town on Lake Michigan near Chicago. When I was young we had fresh lake perch all the time. Being raised Catholic it was a Friday supper staple. I still live in the area, but the fishing is not what it was when I was young. My husband is a country boy and never ate fresh fish growing up so he's not that crazy to eat fish unless it's Cod or other white fish.
Fresh fish, looks like that was a good dinner!

ReplyDeleteThat makes my mouth water! I love fish but it is hugely expensive here and we eat it only once a week.
