I've been planning a New Year Holiday trip for a couple of months now. I'm excited to be traveling on a train headed west. Of course I will take photos and post all about it when I return. Here is a clue about where I am headed and what I plan to do.

Ah, this has been on my bucket list for ages. You are going to the most famous castle in Japan. I made a painted quilt with this motif about five years ago.

I've been to Shiga, Kyoto and Hiroshima but I don't recognize that building from any of them. (And I'm pretty sure I didn't see a fraction of any of them!) Can't wait to hear more!
