Monday Morning Star Count - Temperature Quilts

Year five of the temperature quilt is my last, for now anyway.  I have enjoyed checking the temperature each day and putting together the weekly blocks, but I haven't kept up with putting together the quilts. I've worked on five years of temperature quilts where I live and I made one quilt for someone else in Hokkaido, with temperatures from that location. I plan to continue to work on finishing the quilts I've started.  Here is what they look like today.

  1. I was trying to decide which I liked best and I really can't. The different backing/bindings are so unique and they all work so well together. I love them all.

  2. Each one is unique. Have you ever thought of tying the quilts instead of quilting them? That would save time. Or use buttons to hold the layers together.

  3. Each hexagon records the daily temperature.
The flowers are carefully stitched. It's not easy to keep doing this for 5 years. You have creatd a wonderful work.
I don't think It's completed yet, but I think there are other projects, so please proceed slowly.

  5. I understand you need to catch up on finishing all these quilts for now! Maybe if in the future you move to another region, it would be interesting to make another quilt for that place.

  6. It is good to see them all in one post! It is also interesting to see how the different backgrounds work. Well done sticking with it for so long.
