If the bus runs on its own lane, why not? We are already used to self-driving trams, cable cars, elevators, and escalators, so soon there will be self-driving everything. I wonder when there will be self-flying drones to take us shopping or to the hospital. The future is closer than we think!
I don't mind self-driving vehicles being on their own tracks away from pedestrians, wildlife, and other traffic. I do not like the idea of self-driving vehicles on the regular roads.
The bus is operated with lots of exact sensors. I want to have a chance to get on it. Some bus companies are developing a self driving bus that can run on a public road safely.
If it is on an exclusive road, would be a bit nerve wracking though.
I think putting it on an exclusive road eliminates most of the remaining risks of selfdriving vehicles. I'd try it out!
We're switching to electric buses here -- but the driverless still has me worried!
