Love this Pamela. Can you tell me where you got the xs patterns for it? Sorry, I don't know why I come up anonymous or how to fix it. Linda bengalcatlover10@yahoo.com
Both sides are charming. The knot is elegant and complex but with that excellent video, I am sure it is doable. Do give it a try.
What wish did you place inside the Mamori?
This is really sweet and I like it very much. Love the fox!
That is such a cute stitch and love how you finished it off.
What a cute amulet.😆
Too cute.😂
The method of tying amulet threads is called“Mizuhiki”.(水引)
It's good to search on YouTube, but I also recommend borrowing a book titled“How to tie Mizuhiki”(水引きの結び方)
from the library. The way you tie it has a meaning, so I think it's best to tie it in a celebratory way.
An auspicious knot is called a celebratory knot.(祝い結び)
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
I think it would be a good idea to ask your friends in your sewing group. Like me, they will know which knots will and won't suit your amulet.
