Current Gas Prices Here - The Japanese government is subsidizing the price of gas to keep the cost of regular below 170/liter. What is the cost of gas where you live?
170 Yen is about $1.50 Australian. I was paying about that just before the war started. Petrol here is about $2.65 per litre at the moment, for the cheaper type. Premium petrol is about 10cente per litre more. Diesel is over $3 - don't know exactly because I don't buy that.
Great progress all around. Will you frame The Tale of Genji? I am so glad I don't drive and have no need to worry about gasoline prices, per se. I understand, though, how the skyrocketing fuel prices will spill over to anything that is transported.

Genji is nearly done! And gorgeous. Gas here is 4.19/gallon (at least, yesterday)
Gas is $3.55 per gallon in my part of Arkansas. Gas was $2.44 just a few weeks ago.
