Just Walking Around

Spring is trying to come to Hokkaido, but winter isn’t ready to leave yet. The days are getting warmer, but not warm enough yet.  A little snow fell yesterday.

Ted and I have been walking more and farther now that the snow is melting and the sidewalks are clear.  It's great to see things reappear.  Jizo has been covered all winter, but someone has shoveled him out.

These are the first flowers we’ve seen this year, next to someone’s house.  I know more are coming.

It's nice to get out and walk on sidewalks that aren't covered in snow.  If you’ve been thinking about walking for exercise or if you want more information, check out WalkTalk.  Karen has some great information and encouragement.

It must really feel like spring, to be able to walk freely, see the sunshine and hear the birds (I guess). The snow of Tokyo is long gone!

Thanks for the shout out Pamela. Glad to see some spring in Hokkaido!
