Cairns Zoom and Wildlife Dome

This place is located on the top of a casino hotel and advertises itself as the world's first challenge ropes course in a wildlife park.  The admission fee is a little pricey - $24.00 for the wildlife area, an additional $21.00 for the first Zoom activity and $10.00 for extra Zoom activities after that.  I paid for the wildlife area and passed on the challenge course.

Each area had bright green signs to tell what animals or birds were in that area.

I really liked the little birds in this "room".

This bird really liked attention.

I listened to a Koala talk given by one of the keepers.

For some reason, I find the reptiles very interesting.

I listened to the reptile talk, but I didn't touch any of them.

This is the view from the gift shop area.

Pics are great, looks like you had an amazing time and will have wonderful memories.
The pics under the Frog Mouth information are actually of a kookaburra.

The topics are such a beautiful place, nice to see you made the most of your visit.

What a wonderful adventure! Birds are amazing in variety and color aren't they?
It looks like the weather was great too.

That looks like another interesting venue. I see someone else has already pointed out the kookaburra photos.

Sulphur-crested cockatoos are amazing birds, but when I get some time to post I have some pictures of them being absolute pains at my place this week.

Oof, that is a bit pricey and I'd probably have my eyes shut the whole time on the challenge courses haha. The little birds are so cute though! I can imagine all of them being cheeky at some point though

Good you have seen some of the native wildlife..did the cockatoo talk to you?? Sometimes they say hello, they sure do love attention but we have to be careful not to feed them as they can be very destructive and have been known to eat wooden window and door frames! Sadly the price is standard for things like that here.

How cool! I'd love to pet a crocodile.
