Eating Out

I've hardly eaten out since before the pandemic.  Lately though, I have gone out to eat a few times.

I had been to this place a few times before the pandemic. It's not far from my house and is run by a very nice Japanese couple. Every time I've been there, I've eaten this same thing.  Good for me that the menu hasn't changed.

This place is very close to where I live and is a pretty typical local place. It was the first time I had been there.  Here is the menu.

Here is the inside of the place.

I ordered yakisoba with fish flakes but no meat. It was good.

I'm still very careful because I don't want to get infected with covid, so I won't be eating out often, but eating early when it is not crowded might be okay.

I rarely eat out for the same reason. In December I am visiting friends in Japan and they eat out a lot so perhaps I will need to revise my resolution:)

I think I'd order exactly the same thing!

A good thing with small family-run eateries is that you can usually make changes to the menu, e.g. omit the meat, add another kind of vegetable, or adjust how spicy or sweet/salty you want the dish.
I hope you will find it relaxing to go out to eat more often.

Pamela: Both meals look great, we eat out twice a week one lunch one dinner, since pandemic have never gotten ill or anyone we know has not gotten ill.
We are not vaccinated cannot due to Mikes heart illness and other illness me I do not believe in any vaccinations, have been healthy all my life. No colds flu or pneumonia.
