While out looking for the Izu Kogen Iris Garden (the irises were not yet blooming at this mountain garden), we found this interesting shrine near Izu Kogen. It was very neat and tidy, and no one else was around. It’s built into the side of the mountain, so there are a lot of steps.

I love seeing them in the wooded areas.
What a cute little shrine, I like how it got different levels to adjust to the mountain side.
