This shrine was on the path to my hotel in Matsue. According to some information online, the shrine is dedicated to Izanami. I’m sure the shrine is older than the hotel.
The location is a bit unfortunate, almost invaded by traffic. It must be hard for cityscape planners to make roads when there are so many temples and shrines, of considerable age, that simply can't be demolished or relocated.

It always amazes me to see these ancient buildings with modern life in the background.
