This miniature
quilt is stitched on hardanger fabric with two strands of Caron Wildflowers.
The backing and turned edge binding is a green batik fabric that doesn't show up well in these photos.

started working on this month’s miniature for the Smalls Stitch-A-Long. I hope
I can finish it by the end of the month!

2015 Smalls Stitch A Long - Miniature Christmas Tablecloth
Stitched
on 28 count linen, with one strand of cotton floss for the cross stitch and two
strands for the blanket stitch. The size is six inches by seven and a half inches. I don't have a table, but I think this will be the proper size to drape down over the edges. I wanted to make some matching napkins, but I
ran out of time. Maybe I’ll make them
later.

2015 Smalls Stitch A Long - Miniature Floor Cushion
In
Japan, many homes have low tables and floor cushions, instead of higher tables
and chairs. This month I stitched a
miniature floor cushion. It measures 1.5
x 1.5 inches and is stitched on 28 count linen, using two strands of floss for
cross stitches. The edging is a braid
made with the three colors of floss in the cushion.

stitch-a-long is hosted by Heather at Stitching Lotus.

2015 Smalls SAL - Miniature Bedspread
For
this year’s Smalls Stitch A Long, I am stitching miniature pieces (1 inch to 1 foot
scale). This month I made a bedspread
for a miniature bed. The pattern comes from Needlework
Designs for Miniature Projects by Eileen Folk. It’s a thin Dover Needlework Series book with
about 50 pages and a lot of ideas for dollhouses. The bedspread is done in cross stitch on
hardanger fabric (22 count) with two strands of DMC floss.

out Stitching Lotus to see the smalls other Stitch A Long participants have
completed this month!

Work in Progress Wednesday - Miniature Bedspread
This
year for the Smalls SAL, I’m planning to work on some miniature stitched pieces
for a doll house (in case I ever have one again). For January, I’ve started working on a
bedspread, using white hardanger fabric and cross stitches done in two strands
of DMS #312, which is one of the colors in the miniature cushion I made last month.
I hope
to have this piece finished by the end of the month.
