Take a Stitch Tuesday - Bonnet Stitch
This is
a new one for me – I’ve never seen or heard of it before. I did a short seam to try it out. I’ll probably add something to it later.

Take a Stitch Tuesday - Up and Down Buttonhole Stitch
I
really like this stitch. I’ve done a
small seam with three strands of Mandarin floss on the pink block.
Next I
tried it with a single strand of Bravo! on the blue block and added detached
chain stitches.

Take a Stitch Tuesday 24 - Palestrina Stitch
Using
four strands of Bravo! Thread, I followed the curve of the yo-yo that was
already in place. What do you think?

Take a Stitch Tuesday 23 - Cable Chain Stitch
I tried
this stitch before, but for some reason the post is labeled TAST 25 (see it
here). I tried it again on a very short
section, then added a few more stitches to it.

Take a Stitch Tuesday 22 - Buttonhole Wheel
Using
one strand of cotton floss, I attempted to follow the circles on the fabric.
Next, I
tried a few with two strands of the same floss. Not a lot of difference.

Take A Stitch Tuesday 21 - Knotted Cretan
I
really like this stitch! I thought it
was going to be difficult, but it wasn’t.
I think I’ll be using this more often. I did the Knotted Cretan with one strand of a soft Italian thread, then added detached chain stitches with two strands of cotton floss to one side.

Take a Stitch Tuesday - # 18 Half Chevron
I used
three strands of floss to do a short seam with this stitch, then added three French

Here

Take a Stitch Tuesday - # 17 Crossed Buttonhole
I used
green Impressions to do this stitch to hold the lace down.
I added

seam.

Take A Stitch Tuesday - #14 Stem Stitch
I’ve
added one more layer to the inside of this shape with the stem stitch, using
two strands of cotton floss.
I also made a vine-like shape in the stem stitch, using green Impressions thread. I'll add to this later.

Take a Stitch Tuesday - #13 Satin Stitch
The
satin stitch is not one of my favorites.
It’s so hard to make it look even and smooth. I’ve done one small leaf and that’s enough
satin stitch for now!

Take A Stitch Tuesday - #12 Barred Chain
The
barred chain is a new stitch for me. I
tried out a short seam on the pink block and added white seed beads.
Next I
tried out the alternating barred chain on the green block, adding sets of three
seed beads.

Take A Stitch Tuesday #10 Running Stitch
Running
stitch is so simple that I think it is often overlooked. I’ve continued with the filling of this
shape using pink Impressions.

Take A Stitch Tuesday #9 Couching
A great
thing about these crazy quilt blocks and TAST is that I can use threads
leftover from other projects and feel very thrifty. Here I’ve couched pale pink Petite Very
Velvet with Petite Treasures Braid inside the previously stitched chain outline.

Take A Stitch Tuesday #8 Chain Stitch
To show
this stitch, I traced a template on the large dark pink area. Using two strands of cotton floss, I stitched
the outline. My plan is to fill this in
with other stitches. We’ll see how that
turns out.
Here's the whole block so far.
