Tokyo International Quilt Festival 2020 - Bags

Sunday I met Queenie (Queenie's Needlework) in Tokyo for the quilt festival.  Check out her blog, as she is currently posting about the show too.

I have loads of photos, so it will take me awhile to go through them all.  I am starting with the Bags category, as it is one of my favorites.

And now for the winners in the Bag Category

Do you agree with the judges?  Which are your favorites?

Such beautiful and intricate bags. I like the houses with the balloon over the top. They are all amazing.

Thank you for a great day at the show.
How do you manage to take a photo of EVERY bag when I only can do half of them????? I am glad you got a good shot of the cat/fish bag - my photos were NG.

Wow, there are some amazing pieces of art there! Glad I wasn't one of the judges, I could never pick just a couple to get the prizes.

Oh, these are all really cool! It's hard to pick a favourite. I like the one with the grapes, the two with leaves, and the 2nd place one. I guess I don't really 'get' the 1st place so, it doesn't look that impressive.

I'm amazed and awed by the bags! The bag with the leaves and hexagons is a beauty.
Thanks for sharing your photos.

I love Japanese bags. They are always so artful and unusual. I have a favorite but not saying which one. But it's round. Light green..wood handles. flaps on the sides. LOL
