Tokugawa Art Museum - Nagoya
I traveled by train to the City of Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture and the first place I visited was the Tokugawa Art Museum. The museum is a short walk from the JR Ozone Station. The museum is open from 10 am - 5 pm, closed on Mondays, and admission is ¥1600.
This is the exhibit I went to see.
There were beautiful historical items in the exhibit. I’m always amazed by what good shape these very very old Japanese items are in. BUT, there was little English information and books in the museum shop were only in Japanese. There is an English list of items in the exhibit on the internet.I don’t know if it will be taken down when the exhibition closes.
I did not take pictures inside the museum. I saw signs saying no photos, but I also saw other people taking pictures. I decided to follow the posted signs.

I spent a night in Nagoya once. Actually, two (different times) but I saw nothing of the town or the museum. A pity!
With the influx of foreign tourists, standards have changed. Now we expect signs and pamphlets in other languages than Japanese, and when they don't exist, we rightly feel disappointed.
More work is needed!
