The Moss Head is Missing

On the 28th of each month, the road in Mariko that leads up to the temple is a big flea market type event.  I've been twice before - here and here. This month there were few vendors and few people on the road and at the temple. Two friends and I made the walk to the temple.

I was happy to see this kimono fabric seller.  A few of her fabrics came home with me.

We enjoyed some Japanese music.

I was looking forward to seeing the Moss Head -----

We looked everywhere, but the Moss Head was nowhere to be seen. I was disappointed that he was missing.

After visiting the temple, our day was not over ----

Lucky you! In Tokyo we were asked to stay at home and it was SO very cold it was easy to do so.

The kimono fabric lady looks to have a good selection of other interesting items! Shame about the moss head. What a nice walk. xx

I'm surprised they were allowed to hold the flea market at all. Hopefully moss head will be back next month!

Shame about the missing moss head, but it looks like a beautiful outing anyway.
