I came across this shrine as I was walking from the train station to my hotel in Matsue and it was so inviting that I couldn’t help stopping. It was quiet and well kept. I’m glad I stopped.
It looks very well kept. If I didn't know better, I would think they had hoovered the grounds! Did you notice the small metal birds on the rail (in the last picture)? You can see them here and there in Japan; ours are near the station. Aren't they cute?
Even on a vacation with so many great sights to visit, sometimes these accidental finds make for the best memories! I don't know if it can compete with all the great shrines and castles, but it certainly a very pretty shrine.
